This cake is near and dear to me for it was made for my amazing and brave 15 year old niece Alexandria as she began her courageous battle against brain cancer.  I put together a huge party for her and all her friends and Meoi made this cake for the event.  My neice Alex did not win her battle and went to be with Jesus on August 4th, 2011.  To read more about her inspiring story please visit www.greyforalex.com

Back to the cake…It’s a white vanilla cake with swirled strawberry and bavarian filling with fresh strawberries. The cake was accompanied by red velvet and vanilla mini cupcakes airbrushed and decorated with gumpaste flowers and ribbons. The grey ribbon and red flowers are made of gumpaste. Special thanks to Danielle for baking all the mini cupcakes and April for all those tiny flowers she made.
