We had a blast making this cake with all the little details.  It is a vanilla cake with fresh sliced strawberries and strawberry filling.  All of the details were crafted by hand and edible.  We used crushed cookies for the dirt.  Along with the cake are chocolate cupcakes that were baked in clay pots, topped with [...]

Dali - Persistence of Time…

A blast from the past…

We were asked to make an 80’s themed cake for a 40th birthday party.  Included on the cake were a Pacman, a Rubiks Cube, and even some mix tapes.  The Pacman and the ”40″ were made of gum paste while the Rubiks Cube on top was made of three separate cakes that actually spun.

Woof Woof…

After a year of making cakes for everyones birthdays, Meoi surprised me with a cake of my very own!  Everyone knows that my puppies are my life, so she made me an adorable cake of my Cocker Spaniels.   And those are not real dog biscuits, they are homemade cookies.

Looking for a clue…

My friend and I started an annual adult scavenger hunt party called Code Quest.  After driving around town all night for clues, we had to come back for cake!  I matched the font in the logo on the top of the cake. The magnifying glass was made of sugar glass - that took some experimenting :).

A flush on the river…

When it came time for my dad’s birthday cake, we knew it would have to be a Texas hold’em themed cake!  Jennifer Tilly, Chris Ferguson, Phil Ivey, and my dad at the final table.  Every poker fans’ dream even if only on a cake.
