A surprise birthday cake for a special 13 year old. It’s a white vanilla cake with buttercream frosting. The 3D purse is hand sculpted from cake and covered with fondant. The handle and #13 are made of gumpaste. All the other decorations are made from fondant.
 
 

The bottom tier of this cake was a moist lemon pound cake with raspberry cream cheese swirl filling.  The top tier was a red velvet cake with cream cheese filling.  The numbers on top were made with gum paste while everything else was decorated with fondant.
